The KEY to Sustained Habit Installation

Building a new habit happens by two things: number one, stretching; and number two, training. Stretching and training, stretching and training. So, if you want to install a new habit, whether it’s joining The 5AM Club, whether it’s going the extra mile at work, whether it’s spending an hour before you go to sleep, in gratitude or in learning, I don’t know what important habits you want to install, but please remember, stretching and training is how you do it. You want to stretch yourself by starting the new habit, and then you want to keep on training yourself by repetition. Stretching and training. Stretch yourself so that you start the new habit, its uncomfortable, and then keep on repeating it through steady training. And that is one of the keys to sustaining a new habit.
