Please remember, everything you put out into the world, everything you put out into the marketplace has your name on it. You’re an artist. You’re signing your work. Just like Picasso signed his work, you’re signing your work. And the larger point, don’t put out a lot of things. Put out one Sistine Chapel ceiling. What most people do is they put out thousands of pieces of work. Let me ask you, isn’t it better to spend a year or a quarter or four years, or maybe it’s 10 years, maybe it’s 20 years, focusing on that one game-changing piece of magic that generations who will follow will still be talking about?
Don’t put out anything that is less than magic. And here’s, what’s going to happen. All your
sweat equity put into that one project, all your love, all your attention to detail, all your labor, well, people are going to feel the love in the product. And they’re going to fall in love with the product. And then you don’t have to worry so much about sales and marketing. The world will beat a path to your door because they’re going to feel that you worked with love because you put out only magic. And that is one of the great secrets of the greatest artists and masters of history.
