Nothing is worth the price of losing your peace of mind. That’s why 5AM is so valuable. You can stand in the tranquillity of dawn’s early light. That’s why nature walks are so powerful. That’s why living with integrity is so powerful because even though it looks like you might be losing when you just are so honest and you care so much and you keep your promises and you stand for justice and you’re generous and fair, it might look like you’re losing, but you’re absolutely winning. It might take the world a little while to catch up to your goodness and your integrity, but karma always rewards those who run it well. And I would also say, it’s not only what you get in the world, it’s who you become. And if you really want peace, keep your promises and be a just person and care for people and do unexpected things for people who might not notice. Those things, those little triumphs of possibility in humanity and decency will serve you so well because then every night when your head hits the pillow, you feel absolutely amazing.
