So when I look at the best of the best, they understand that all it takes is one new idea to

Now, let me be super tactical. I’m going to challenge you right now, every day, to run this 60-
Minute Student idea or habit, to wire it in. 60 minutes scheduled, where you’ll learn. It could be joining Traffic University. Here’s what the research says. If you are commuting half an hour each day, every way, at the end of one year, you’ve actually spent six weeks of eight-hour days in your car or on the bus or on the train. Just think about that. If you are commuting half an hour each day, every way, after one year, you’ve spent six weeks of eight-hour days commuting.
So join Traffic University or Commuting University. While you’re on the train or in the
car, be listening to audiobooks. While you’re on the subway, take the time to read that ebook. Related to that, every month, take at least one online course. You get the right online course: game-changer. So at least every month, and you schedule it. Things that get scheduled are the things that get done. And then you just pay for it. You’ll want to get some skin in the game.
And then finally, well, tactically, every quarter, commit yourself to go into one conference. You
cannot put a price value on being in a room with other people who are just like you. Maybe you go to another country. Maybe you go to another city. You get out of the office. You get out of your usual environment, and you immerse yourself in new learning that challenges you, and you surround yourself with other people who are on the same leadership journey you are on.
