An Insight to Help You Reclaim Your Authentic Power

There’s different types of power. There’s worldly power, which is very fleeting. Worldly power comes from having a lot of money or maybe a big title, but you lose the money, you lose the title, you lose the power. It’s very finite. It’s very fleeting.

The power that I encourage you to cherish is human power, and that power is the power within you. That’s really what greatness is all about. It’s the power that rests at your core to be creative, no matter what the situation is on the outside. It’s the power that allows you to be even in a challenging situation and rise above it. It’s the power that allows you to be loving when you’re facing hate perhaps. Real power is the power that allows you to continue when you feel like giving up. Real power is the power for you to say, “Here is my character. Here are the values that are important to me. And even if they’re not popular, I’ll live them.” That’s real power, and that power cannot be taken away from you.

And remember Mahatma Gandhi saying, “They can put me in jail, but they can’t take away my power.” That’s real power.
