You have a choice when you walk out into the world every single morning, you can be run by your ego or you can listen to your truest self. You can’t do both. And I think right now, a lot of the challenge in the world right now is because we have leaders who are run by their egos versus listening to the messages of their soul. I guess what I’m suggesting to you is there’s two types of power. There’s fake power, which is the power you get when you listen to your ego. And then there’s true power, which is the messaging and the advice and the guidance that you receive when you start to listen to who you truly are. When we were little kids, we had intimacy and fluency with who we truly were, but as you go through life, we get hurt. As you go through life, you get all of this messaging and you stop believing, and you stop being a possibilitarian. And what starts to happen is you start getting full of this insecurity. And the ego’s messaging is simply the voice of insecurity. I’ll repeat it again. The voice of the ego is just really the voice of the insecure self within you. And so, what you want to do when you build your soul set is you want to start building the relationship with your bravest, wisest, strongest, most loving self. Now, every single one of us, at our very deepest core, beneath the layers of pain, insecurity, disappointment, have this fundamental core of wisdom, creativity, primal genius, love, vitality. The more you build the relationship with your fundamental self and remember who you truly are, the more every relationship in your outer life starts to change.
