The only competition that I encourage you to focus on is becoming better than who you were yesterday. And so by being more creative and by challenging your craft because you’re only good as your last project. Repeat that again because it’s so
important. You’re only good as your last project, and it’s a very slippery slope to descend into obsolescence. The moment you start taking your productivity for granted and you stop optimizing and you stop going blue ocean and trying to do better work is the moment you are consciously or unconsciously on the path to insignificance. So I want you to think about that.
