I love hotels that are obsessively attentive to detail. I love restaurants where the smallest flower on a piece of food or the way the music is set up or the smallest attention and refinement or innovation is so well thought through in a world that embraces mediocrity, in a world where so few people see themselves as artists, in a world where many people who are good people are just checked out and there’s no fire in the belly to innovate and create painstaking care about what they do.
I want to remind you of the importance of being obsessively attentive to the smallest of
details. Because that’s what artists do.
