Release Limited Magic VS. Ubiquitous Mediocrity

Hi, it’s Robin Sharma. This quick audio is going to be very valuable to any empire-maker and business- builder. I listened to a fascinating podcast episode with Chip Wilson, the founder of Lululemon. The podcast is, How I Built It. Anyway, one of the lines in the podcast is, he said, “I’m not a business guy. I’m a product guy.” Now, this is a billionaire entrepreneur, but he doesn’t see himself as a business person. He sees himself primarily as someone who understood how to create world-class athletic products. That was the secret to his success. I think that’s really profound. A lot of the great empire-makers and disruptors aren’t really business people. They just want to produce a piece of magic that makes people’s lives better, so they’re monomaniacally focused on releasing world-class to the world, versus thinking
only about marketing and sales.
