Value Growth Over Comfort [to Assert Your Greatness]

That which is hardest to do is generally, not always but generally that which is most valuable to do. That which is hardest to do is generally, what’s most valuable to do. Getting up at 5AM. Being a master of your craft by studying every day. Having an OAD obsessive attention to detail. Eating good food, getting good rest, doing not only a morning workout but an evening routine for a workout as well. Taking an idea that is so disruptive it’s really difficult to execute around it. Those kinds of things are generally the most valuable things to do. Speaking your truth when your voice shakes. Having a difficult conversation with a teammate or a loved one. Building a beautiful life is not the easiest thing to do. It’s hard at times so law number three is, the hardest thing to do is generally the most valuable thing to do. Our society says, do the easiest thing. Take a magic pill. Don’t work too hard. Don’t reach too high. Don’t give too much to your customers or your community or your family. Don’t get up too early. Don’t exercise too much. Don’t read a difficult book. Don’t accept a scary speech. Don’t start a hard project. I am suggesting to you that you can pretty much tell what’s most valuable by its level of difficulty. And by getting in the habit of accepting and doing difficult things that’s how you become a grandmaster.
