Your Days Are Your Life in Miniature

Daily optimization and iteration. And so if you look at the Michael Jordans, and you look at the WarrenBuffetts, and you look at the Mozarts, and you look at the Jay-Zs, and you look at the Copernicus, and you look at the Darwins, and you look at the Nelson Mandelas, and the Mother Teresas. Every single day, they wanted to leave everything they touched better than they found it. You look at the average producer, the 95 percenter, they’re like 95% of people in business, addicted to distractions, loving entertainment, complaining, gossiping, negative. They all have one thing in common. Every day is just another day. They live the same year 75 times and they call it a life. But the top 5% are fundamentally different. They understand that your day is your life in miniature. And as you live each day, so you craft your life. And I call it the 1% win. And I’m going to challenge you to start living this today. If every single day you make a 1% improvement in your work, or in your thinking, or in your energy, or in your health, or in your relationship with those you love, what happens? 30 days from now, you’ve made at least a 30% improvement in what you’re doing. 150 days from now, you’ve made at least a 150% improvement. 365days from now, you’ve made at least a 365% improvement. So small, daily improvements, over time, lead to stunning results. Never lose that fire in the belly to improve your craft, to read the next book, to take the next course, to have the next conversation, to run to the next fear. And let’s just be honest here, if you’re not willing to play at that level, you’re never going to reach iconic and world-class. But I believe that you have that fire in the belly. And just remember, 1% every single day, over time. Small, daily improvements, over time, with persistence and consistency, whether you feel inspired, whether you feel exhausted, that over time allow you to be one of the great ones.
