Your Top 10 Priorities [to Make This Year Your Finest Year Yet]

There’s no point about spending your days and the best hours of your life climbing these mountains only to realize at the end of this year you’ve spent your greatest energy and squandered your potential climbing the wrong mountains. That’s why you’ve got to know your priorities. And by knowing your priorities and writing down your top 10 priorities for this year, you’ll have such higher awareness about what’s most important. And as you know, my Three Step Success Formula, with better awareness, you can make better choices each day, with better choices each day, you’ll be able to see better results.

Clarity breeds mastery. So I want you right now to write down in your journal or on your device your top 10 priorities for this year. Clients often ask me, “Robin, can you give me some examples of great priorities?” So let me give you a few. One priority could be, this year, I will finally make the time every day to build my strongest and greatest self. Tactics to help you do that? Meditation, prayer, journaling, reading, audiobooks, having a mentor, cleaning up your nutrition so you get rid of processed foods, hydration so you have more water, which boosts mitochondrial function, forest bathing, so you improve your moods and your energy and your fitness, working out first thing in the morning, which is a game-changing move. I encourage you, tomorrow, start working out first thing in the morning. Getting into the greatest fitness of your life, it’ll be a complete game-changer. Final quick tactic to help you build your greatest self, delete the energy-vampires from your life. You can change the world this year, or you can hang around negative people, you cannot do both. Another great priority for you this year might be being a world-class family person.

I’ve seen a lot of people, I’ve mentored a lot of the most successful people in the world, and they got to the mountaintop of success, but they got there alone. There’s no point in living in a mansion and flying your private jet and being on a yacht on a beautiful island and doing it solo, and I’ve seen it happen to far too many people. So maybe your second priority or another priority is you want to be a world-class family person, have family meals, spend a lot of quality time with the people who you most love. Another priority this year might be to really make this the year you upgrade your health and longevity and your overall fitness. Hiring a trainer is one of the best investments you could ever make because then you have someone showing up waiting for you two or three times a week. Don’t worry about the cost, think about the return on investment. But getting into amazing fitness will increase your moods, increase your energy, increase your productivity, and definitely extend the quality of your life. Another priority could be treating people with respect. One of the greatest regrets of people on their deathbeds, according to the research, is they wish they had been kinder. So that could be a great
priority for you to write down on your list of the top 10 priorities for this year to be the greatest year yet. You’ll treat people with more respect. You’ll remember that everyone you meet has a story to tell and a lesson to teach. Everyone you meet has had hopes and dreams and has had difficulties as well. Treating people with love and kindness and good manners and respect is not only a gift you give them and the world, it upgrades your self-love and your self-respect in the process. Maybe another priority is
you will refuse to put out mediocrity in terms of the quality of your work. We are in a world where we are suffering from the collective mediocritization of business. You see so many people playing with their devices, they’re checked out when they should be working. How many grandmasters of work have you seen recently?

When you travel or go to a restaurant or walk into a store or go into a bakery, most people have resigned themselves to being card-carrying members of the cult of mediocrity. That’s an incredible opportunity for this year, for you. Maybe your
priority really is you’re only going to push magic. You see your shop as a magic shop. Maybe another priority is you clean up your financial life or take it to a completely new level this year. So you say you’re going to be completely debt-free, and you’re
also going to really work on accelerating your personal net-worth exponentially. And a lot of people don’t think about their net-worth, they think about their salary, your salary is what you make every year, how much you’re paid by your business or by your employer, but your personal net-worth, obviously, and I’m not giving any financial advice or medical advice whatsoever, I’m just suggesting to you it’s valuable to
think about releasing all debt from your life, reducing it, or completely being out of debt, and also significantly upgrading your personal net-worth, which is really just your assets after liabilities.

Another great priority to think about is what would a world-class lifestyle look like? That’s lots of time off. That’s great adventures and travel with your family. A world-class lifestyle might be moving into the house or home of your greatest dreams. A world-class lifestyle could be spending more time with people whose lives you want to be living. A world-class lifestyle could be improving the quality of the food you eat, improving the quality of the books you read, going out to see live events more often, or just taking more time alone. So those are some examples of priorities. Write down your top 10 priorities, your top 10 lighthouses, so to speak, as you move towards the new world of your greatest year yet.
